I tried it and well, it works. Picked up a 3 year old root beer stain.
Or you just buy a deep cleaner.

Looks pretty effective! Thanks for the video. How do you clean up the products you used out of the carpet once you’ve removed the stain? Have you ever tried to remove Vaseline/petroleum jelly from a carpet? Any success? My daughter unleashed a half container of it while I was in the bathroom. What a mess…..
My boy left me some nice greasy oil stains on my living room carpet when I was away in Afghanistan. I’ve been deciding on either hiring Stanley Steemer to clean or Empire to replace, but I think I’ll give your method a try. I’ll give you an update whether it works or not. Your house sounds like total bedlam…I’ve tossed the boy (he’s 20) and now I live the quiet life of an empty nester.
That’s too bad try the method to get it out.
