I bought this and am very happy with it. I have kids and my carpet gets dirty FAST so I had a professional come in and clean it. I was very disappointed with the results. So I went a rented a Rug Doctor and it was awfully heavy and only went backwards and still didnt clean my carpet to my satisfaction. Then I saw this and bought it. I do admit that the tank is small and you have to flush it out alot but it worked perfectly!! Heavy traffic areas were gone!! And it’s so light!!
Just turn up your hot water heater an hour before filling your tank on the machine. And be careful while filling not to burn yourself or the pets. Then add a Lasko Pivoting utilty fan than blows across the carpet surface. It dries in no time, a couple of fans linked via their external plugs helps in different directions. Bissell I hope you start trying to make something that DIY people can have for years and enjoy bragging about. Those tanks with plastic bladders doen’t last, nor plastic latches
I bought a royale four years ago! Use it regularly, but I’m looking for a new better unit. I’m bypassing Bissell Proheat Pet machine, though I have 6 dogs in the house. In favor of the Rug Doctor! Why? Quailty I’m so tired of plastic breakage, and cheap feeling junk. Capacity, far more carpet cleaned than just one gallon of pick-up. Upolstery stair hose and brush are the feel of quailty that will last a lifetime! You can get on ebay a wand too! for around hard to reach areas. Sorry Bissell!!!!
Bissell is weak on suction , every other brand is more powerful i’d know i’ve used so many brands including Bissell, and if you listen closely at 1:52 you’ll hear something only a low quality product would do.
hence my comment “Even I should have waited though and found a refurbished professional machine”. The rug doctor most definitely has it’s draw backs and design flaws. But when compared to these cheap plastic 5 pound machines like the bissel, hoover etc., the rug doctor kicks but. I’d still rather have a true professional machine.
Nobody’s better than Bissel???? This machine is extremely light duty!!!! Do not buy this machine. Save your money and buy either a refurbished professional machine for maybe 300 or 500 bucks. You will own it for life. This Bissel will last maybe a couple years with regular use. I bought a Rug Doctor for $300. It’s waaaay better than this bissel. Even I should have waited though and found a refurbished professional machine. That’s better than even the Rug Doctor.

it is works&)))
my question is the same as the one below
Bissell is nota great product- Works fine a few times but after a year forget it
the set up is my problem too. i borrowed from a friend who lost the directions. they show how great it works but not how to set up. 🙁
How do you set this up? I had a similar model and it never worked right because i never knew where to put the water.
I NEED THIS.
I threw away my manual last year and now i’m using the proheat cleaner for the 1st time. So far-so good.
