Hi,

I have never had a customer complain about a problem with fluffy carpet. If you are worried about the carpet holding too much water, I would go over each area a couple times with the sucking action. You can pull most of the moisture out of the carpet. I sent an email to Rug Doctor with your question. I will give you the update when they respond.

I have a thick fluffy carpet…will it work ok for that?

hardwarehelper says:

Hi,
You can buy a Rug Doctor for $400 to $500. You can rent one at most hardware stores for $20 to $30.

can you tell me the price for this machine and where to get it thanks

hardwarehelper says:

Hi,
I’ve used and rented the Rug Doctor for years and have not had anyone complain about discoloring a carpet. If you are concerned, I would test in an inconspicuous area. Let me know how it works for you.

Jesus Christ says:

Would this work with a red carpet?

hardwarehelper says:

Thanks, glad you found it useful.

Hi,
You can walk on the carpet immediately, but it is better to wait till it’s dry. It usually takes 2 to 4 hours depending on the air flow, temp. and humidity.
